Longtime singer-songwriter Art Garfunkel has canceled his Nov. 2 concert at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
Garfunkel cited health issues in a media statement released Thursday, in which he also cancels the remaining 10 tour dates of his 2012 tour.
Credit card purchases will be refunded automatically, venue management said. Cash purchases will be refunded at The Joint box office at the casino, starting Friday.
The statement from Garfunkel's management read: "Since doctors discovered a weakened vocal cord in 2010, the singer has been working on mending his voice and is intent on making a full recovery."
The musician added, "I had such hopes of being finally ready to perform. How painful to try and not be quite yet there."
Reported the Associated Press, last weekend, Garfunkel "failed to show up at two scheduled events and instead flew home to the United States." He also halted show dates this week along the East Coast.
