I must protest in the strongest possible terms the bigoted and offensive cartoon by Bruce Plante which appeared in the Oct. 2 Tulsa World.
To rely on the false stereotype of seniors as doddering fools challenged by technology as simple as a computer mouse not only shames Plante but also the opinion page editors for considering such nonsense worthy of print. Plante should be reminded that much of the technology he enjoys today was pioneered by and continues to be improved by innovators of every age. Blaming seniors does nothing to improve the City of Tulsa IT Department or address the very real issues of age discrimination in the workplace.
