Section of I-244 to close for months for repavement

A section of Interstate 244 in east Tulsa will close Monday for several months as part of the ongoing repavement project.
I-244's eastbound lanes will be closed between 129th East Avenue and the Interstate 44 junction from 7 a.m. Monday through late January, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Through traffic should use U.S. 169 southbound to I-44 eastbound as a detour.
Local traffic will still be able to access Garnett Road and 129th East Avenue from I-244.
Various lane and ramp closures will continue on I-244 in both directions between the I-44 junction and Sheridan Road as the project continues.
