A Tulsa man was arrested Monday on allegations that he robbed and fatally shot a man inside an apartment last month.
Reginald Durand Girod, 20, was taken into custody on first-degree murder and armed robbery complaints in the Sept. 27 death of 19-year-old Robert Max Long at the Fairmont Terrance Apartments, 1111 E. 60th St., according to an arrest report.
Long was found dead in an apartment with a gunshot wound to the head, the report says.
A man in his late 30s or early 40s was also shot, police said. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, according to the report.
An investigation determined that Girod was one of three men who attempted to rob those in the apartment, police said. Witnesses identified Girod as being the person who was fighting with Long and took an undisclosed amount of money from a box in the victim’s apartment following the shooting, police said.
Girod is being held in the Tulsa Jail without bond on the first-degree murder complaint. Bail on the armed robbery complaint is set at $25,000.
