Letter to the Editor: Puzzled

We are desperately trying to follow the rules of the new Tulsa trash collection service. In particular we are puzzled about the disposal of garden clippings and branches. Presently we have the remains of a large branch that fell from our old pecan tree. It has been cut into several bundles no more than four feet. The instructions say "green waste" must be placed into "clear or transparent" bags and tagged.
Where does one obtain transparent bags? Has anyone tried to put branch segments into bags? Maybe one or two pieces will fit. At 50 cents a bag this might run into something like $5. November, December and January will be free green-waste collection months.
What about October, when leaves and plant cuttings are disposed? We don't recall much waste in January unless you include piles of snow.
