An assault charge was filed against a Glenpool woman Tuesday on an allegation that she sprayed pepper spray inside a car that hand two small children in it.
Amber Marie Baker, 23, is charged with a single count of assault with a dangerous weapon, Tulsa County District Court filings show.
Baker was arrested Sept. 23 following a disturbance outside an apartment in Glenpool, according to Baker's arrest report. She posted $10,000 bond and was released from the Tulsa Jail that night.
A woman, her fiancé and their two infants, ages 6 months and 1 year, had been getting into a car when Baker approached them regarding a prior argument, the arrest report says.
After a scuffle between Baker and the other woman, Baker sprayed pepper spray into the car, "inadvertently" spraying the two children, the report alleges. The mother, who was carrying a cellphone, used its camera to record what happened.
The infant and toddler were crying, had mucus running from their noses and had orange dye from the pepper spray on their clothing, the report notes. They were treated by medical responders at the scene.
