A first-degree arson charge was filed against Tulsa man Wednesday on an allegation that he is the man seen on surveillance video setting fire to an apartment building after pouring gasoline in the building's lobby.
Mark Anthony Colabella, 40, is charged in Tulsa County District Court in connection with a fire that started at the Boulder Plaza Apartments, 1840 S. Boulder Ave., around 4 a.m. Sept. 30.
On Oct. 2, the Tulsa Fire Department released surveillance images of a man purchasing gasoline at a nearby convenience store before the fire.
Colabella was arrested Oct. 3 at his apartment in the 400 block of West Seventh Street, an arrest report shows. He remained in the Tulsa Jail on Wednesday.
Investigators credited the city’s Arson Tip Line as instrumental in leading to Colabella's arrest.
