TU downs UTEP 33-11 in C-USA contest

Tulsa improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in Conference USA on Thursday with a 33-11 win over UTEP at Chapman Stadium.

Ja'Terian Douglas ran for a game-high 128 yards on 13 carries. Alex Singleton added 96 yards on 21 carries as TU ran for 281 yards and 5.2 yards per rush.

TU quarterback Cody Green was 12-of-22 for 198 yards.

The Hurricane blew open a close game with a 20-point third quarter, highlighted by an 81-yard touchdown run by Douglas and Shawn Jackson's 17-yard fumble return for a score. Those two plays less barley a minute apart.

UTEP falls to 1-6 and 0-3.
