Receipts: 7,264; week ago: 4,780; year ago: 7,021.
Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 1 higher. Feeder heifers 1-3 higher. Demand good for feeder cattle. Steer Calves; 4-12 higher, most advance under 550 lbs. Heifer calves sold firm to 3 higher. Demand very good for long weaned calves moderate for others. Wide swings in day and night temperatures making it tough to keep un-weaned calves healthy. Quality plain thru attractive and improved from last week. Feeder demand improved some as cattle futures and live cattle prices showed strength last week. Supply included 56 percent over 600 lbs; 43 percent heifers.
