The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame has paid the remainder of its past-due utility bills, Tulsa County officials said Saturday.
The Jazz Hall leases the Union Depot building from the Tulsa County Industrial Authority. The authority had given the nonprofit until Oct. 8 to pay $75,000 in past due bills, including approximately $50,000 owed to AEP-PSO.
At the authority’s Oct. 8 meeting, Jazz Hall officials said they would have the bills paid within a couple of days. As of Friday, the nonprofit still owed PSO $13,496.
But County Commissioner John Smaligo said Saturday evening that he had been notified by the utility provider that the outstanding balance had been paid earlier in the day.
The Industrial Authority will discuss the Jazz Hall’s lease at its Monday meeting.
