Winterset 2013 is going to "glow."

That's the promise for the Osteopathic Founders Foundation's annual "prettiest party in town," which will be held from 6:30 p.m. to midnight Feb. 23 at the Doubletree Warren Place, 6110 S. Yale Ave.

A recent kickoff party at the McFarlin Mansion - the past residence and photography studio of the McCormick Family - had patrons of the upcoming benefit sporting blinking purple lapel lights to show their support.

Event designer Phil Long explained that the "ballroom this year will glow in tones of purple and reflect a more contemporary ambience than years past. The Osteopathic community looks forward to Winterset from year to year and our team will work hard to provide a memorable evening for these valued patrons."

Sherri Wise, president and CEO of the Osteopathic Founders Foundation, and event manager Joe Mathis presented the graphics logo designed for this year's theme, which Michael Tucker created in purple and white.

Winterset chairmen Heather and Frank Bell welcomed representatives of the gala's beneficiaries, Kathy Williams, executive director of Tulsa HOPE (Health Outreach Prevention Education, Inc.), and her husband Tom; and Desiree Doherty, executive director of the Parent Child Center of Tulsa.

Funds raised at Winterset will help provide outreach vans to both agencies. Tulsa HOPE's van will offer a safe and private environment for a client to receive counseling, testing and testing results.

The Parent Child Center of Tulsa's van will transport families to appointments with doctors and to other agencies such as Emergency Infant Services and Catholic Charities, as well as deliver donations to families to help provide a safe environment in the home.

"We are so very proud to be a part of the Osteopathic family and are excited to be able to participate in the planning of the Osteopathic Winterset Ball. It is a wonderful tradition that we are honored to be a part of," Heather Bell said.

Among those attending were Molly and Sheldon Berger, Lisa and Drew Crawford, Julie and Jay Back, Jacqui and Stephen Back, Howard and Billie Barnett, Mary Jane and Steven Buck, Jeff Davis and Nicole Farrar, Patty and Larry Dullye, John Gaudet and Mark Murray, Maryhelen Hagge and Ray Luth, Terri and Tom Hamilton, Traci and Jim Kaltenbacher, Ryan Messiner, Trudy Milner, Nikki Rex, Kaysha Yates, Candy and Andy Ting, W.W. Stoever, Leslie Little and Gary Brooks.

Cancer Treatment Centers of America is the Presenting Diamond Patron sponsor.

Tony Henry catered an hors d'oeuvres buffet and Taylor Toth provided bar service. James Cunningham and his team at the Doubletree Warren Place provided wines and service.
