Letter to the Editor: Another 'no' vote

In an urban area, untouched natural areas are rare. They are places where birds nest, people rejuvenate and rabbits, squirrels and turtles find homes. Our Arkansas River is such a place. The sand bars offer migrating birds a much-needed resting place.
To watch the river change with the seasons is far more fascinating than a river controlled by dams. Why spend millions of dollars tampering with the gift of nature?
This household will vote no on any bond or tax issue that includes taking away our river.
