Key play: On fourth-and-7 from the OSU 18, Kansas tried a fake punt by Blake Jablonski that was sniffed out by Nigel Nicholas for a gain of only 2 yards.
Key stat: 1:19. With 44 seconds left in the first quarter, the game was halted by a weather delay that lasted an hour and 19 minutes.
Number to know: 4. The teams' combined four drives resulted in four failed fourth downs.

Key play: Joe Mitchell's first sack of the season dropped Dayne Crist at the KU 5. That gave the Cowboys a short field, setting up J.W. Walsh's 4-yard touchdown run.

Key play: A personal foul by Jayhawk D.J. Beshears on punter Quinn Sharp allowed OSU to maintain possession instead of give the ball to KU with 1:38 left. The Cowboys then were able to run out the clock and seal the win.
