FIRST QUARTER

Key play: On fourth-and-7 from the OSU 18, Kansas tried a fake punt by Blake Jablonski that was sniffed out by Nigel Nicholas for a gain of only 2 yards.

Key stat: 1:19. With 44 seconds left in the first quarter, the game was halted by a weather delay that lasted an hour and 19 minutes.

Number to know: 4. The teams' combined four drives resulted in four failed fourth downs.

SECOND QUARTER

Key play: Joe Mitchell's first sack of the season dropped Dayne Crist at the KU 5. That gave the Cowboys a short field, setting up J.W. Walsh's 4-yard touchdown run.

Key stat: 70. Quinn Sharp's only punt of the first half was 70 yards, the second-longest of his career. He booted a 78-yarder against Nebraska in 2010.

Number to know: 0. Through two quarters, the Cowboys forced no turnovers. They entered the game with four on the season.

THIRD QUARTER

Key play: On OSU's first play of the quarter, Charlie Moore broke a tackle and raced 72 yards for a touchdown. It was the Cowboys' longest play of the season and Moore's first TD of the year.

Key stat: 4. The mostly uneventful period had four drives that netted less than 10 yards - two from each team.

Number to know: 31. With a 13-second possession, OSU has 31 straight games with scoring drives of two minutes or less.

FOURTH QUARTER

Key play: A personal foul by Jayhawk D.J. Beshears on punter Quinn Sharp allowed OSU to maintain possession instead of give the ball to KU with 1:38 left. The Cowboys then were able to run out the clock and seal the win.

Key stat: 371. OSU compiled 371 total yards, compared to Kansas' 398. The Cowboys' previous season low was 576.

Number to know: 22. The nation's longest streak of a team scoring at least 30 points in a game ends at 22. Behind OSU was Oregon with 19.
