Cross Country: Tulsa men finish seventh, women 19th

Senior Andrew Heyes ran a personal-best 23:42.4 in the 8K to place 15th and lead No. 9 Tulsa to a seventh-place finish at the 40-team NCAA Pre-National Meet in Louisville, Ky. The Golden Hurricane totaled 292 points, finishing ahead of three ranked opponents. The Hurricane women finished 19th in their first 6K race of the season, with four scorers setting personal-best times. TU finished with 553 points. Sarah Macpherson was Tulsa's top finisher, coming in 78th with a personal-record 21:25.2.
