Golf: Sooners lead Susie Maxwell

The Oklahoma women's team carded a 4-under 284 and stands in first place after Monday's opening round of the 18-team Susie Maxwell Berning Classic at the 6,327-yard, par-72 Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman. The junior trio of Emily Collins, Chirapat Jao-Javanil and Anne-Catherine Tanguay, who each fired rounds of 2-under 70, led OU. They are tied for fifth place, just two strokes out of the lead.
