MUSKOGEE - Class 6A No. 1 Jenks needed only one half to do its work.

The Trojans dominated Muskogee with nearly 400 yards of first-half offense en route to a 52-3 rout of the Roughers on Thursday night at the Indian Bowl.

Trey'Vonne Barr'e rushed for 171 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns, including a 68-yarder.

His totals took him over the 1,000-yard mark for the season, bringing him to 1,184.

"He's having a great year," Jenks coach Allan Trimble said of Barr'e. "I think you would credit the offensive line. He's just a tremendous player. This year as a senior, he has turned it up and playing really great."

Kyle Alexander went 8-of-12 passing for 198 yards, including three TDs covering 10, 60 and 36 yards.

Jordan Smallwood finished with four catches for 130 yards and one TD.

When the second half got under way, the Trojans (6-2 overall, 5-0 in District 6A-2) put in their reserves.

"We challenged the kids to come out to try to get out with a lot of intensity early and I thought we were able to do that," Trimble said.

"Muskogee's offense came out and really did a good job getting some first downs early. But Trey'Vonne and our offensive line did a good job running the ball, and Kyle Alexander and the receiving corps made some big plays in the throwing game, which I thought opened up the game up a little bit early."

The Trojans scored on all but one possession in the first half. On the drive they did not score, they recovered a fumbled punt from the Roughers (1-6, 1-4). Jenks sacked Muskogee's Trevor Jiles often and gave up only three rushing yards in the first two quarters.

"We've been doing a good job all year long," Trimble said. "Our defensive staff had a good plan. Muskogee came out and did throw the ball a little bit more than they have shown. I thought we made some good adjustments and got pretty good pressure."

The score was 24-0 by the end of the first quarter and was 45-0 at halftime.

Muskogee got its only points on a 26-yard field goal from Preston Soper in the third quarter.

Jenks has won six straight, and during that streak averaged 46.5 points per game and allowed 8.7 points per game.

The Trojans host Bixby next week.
