FIRST QUARTER

Key play: On the first play, Cyclone QB Jared Barnett hit Quenton Bundrage for a 35-yard gain as Iowa State easily marched the field for the early 7-0 lead.

Key stat: 2. Twice members of OSU's depleted receiver corps were bailed out by penalties after dropping passes.

Number to know: 3. J.W. Walsh was sacked by David Irving midway through the quarter, the third sack the Cowboys have allowed this year.

SECOND QUARTER

Key play: Charlie Moore topped his career-high 72-yard touchdown catch last week with a 74-yarder Saturday, thanks to a perfectly thrown pass from Walsh.

Key stat: 33. The one-play, 11-second drive continued OSU's streak of 33 straight games with scoring drives of two minutes or less.

Number to know: 8. The teams combined for eight three-and-out drives in the first half, including five by the Iowa State in the second quarter.

THIRD QUARTER

Key play: On Iowa State's first drive of the second half, Daytawion Lowe snatched a Barnett pass with one hand, his first interception of the year and the first takeaway this season by an OSU starter.

Key stat: 3. Walsh became the first Cowboy freshman quarterback to throw for at least 300 yards three times in a season.

Number to know: 123. OSU outgained the Cyclones by 123 yards in the third quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER

Key play: Joseph Randle picked up 62 of his 156 yards on a carry early in the quarter, bursting up the middle to the 14-yard line and setting up the knockout-punch touchdown.

Key stat: 625. The Cowboys compiled 625 yards of total offense against Iowa State, which entered the game limiting opponents to an average of 342.33 yards.

Number to know: 4. With Moore's 129-yard performance, he became the fourth OSU receiver to hit the century mark in a game in 2012, marking the first time in school history four players have had 100-yard receiving games in a season.
