The Oklahoma State University Medical Center has named Diane Rafferty, senior director of a consulting firm, as its interim CEO, according to a statement released Tuesday.
Rafferty, who works for Alvarez & Marsal, will serve for an unknown period of time, a spokeswoman said.
Hospital staff are excited to work with her, spokeswoman Charlotte Guest said.
"She has a lot of ideas and a lot of energy and is ready to move things along," she said.
Rafferty has been CEO of University Physicians Hospital in Arizona and has served as executive vice president at Brotman Medical Center in Culver City, Calif., which was in bankruptcy when she joined.
She has held administrative positions at other hospitals and has also been an independent consultant.
She earned a master's degree in health-care administration from the University of La Verne in California.
