ESPN college basketball analysts Fran Fraschilla, Jay Bilas and Steve Bardo are involved in University of Tulsa coach Danny Manning's Friday-Saturday clinic at the Reynolds Center.

The clinic is open to coaches of boys' and girls' teams from the high school, middle school and youth league levels. Fraschilla was the head coach at Manhattan College, St. John's and the University of New Mexico. Bilas was a four-year starter at Duke, helping the Blue Devils capture the 1986 national title. After starring at the University of Illinois, Bardo played 10 seasons of professional basketball.

The 5 p.m. Friday session includes presentations by Manning, members of his staff and Bardo. Clinic participants attend TU's practice and a social function. Included in the 9 a.m. Saturday session are presentations from Fraschilla and Bilas. Participants will watch the TU morning short-around and attend the 3:05 p.m. Emporia State-TU exhibition.

"I called and asked for their help, and they gladly accepted," Manning said of Fraschilla, Bilas and Bardo. "I played against Jay. He beat me up in the '86 Final Four, when Duke beat Kansas. I've known Steven for a long time. Coach Fraschilla has been around forever. They wanted to be a part of our clinic.

"We think our clinic is a unique deal because we're doing it around a game. Hopefully, we'll get a good turnout, sit down and chop it up and talk shop."

The cost of the two-day event is $60 per person. For information, contact TU's Justin Bauman (jb-bauman@utulsa.edu) or Shea Seals (shea-seals@utulsa.edu), or call the Golden Hurricane basketball office at (918) 631-3182.
