A woman considered a material witness in a double-homicide at a Tulsa Best Buy store in July has been arrested after failing to maintain contact with authorities.
A warrant was issued Sept. 28 for the arrest of Shania Mikel Craven, 20, Tulsa County District Court records show.
The Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force stopped Craven’s vehicle Thursday afternoon after she was seen leaving the Bradford Square Apartments, 2442 E. 51st St., according to her arrest report.
Craven was arrested July 18 on complaints of accessory to murder after Scott Dewayne Norman and Graydon Wesley “Wes” Brown were gunned down July 14 at Best Buy, 5520 E. Skelly Drive. She was released after prosecutors declined to file charges against her.
Willie Wise, 20, and Jeremy Lee Foster, 22, have been charged with two counts of murder in the case. They are scheduled for a preliminary hearing Nov. 1.
After her release from jail, Craven relocated in another state and was in contact with FBI agents regarding her location. She later left that location and failed to maintain contact, District Attorney Tim Harris indicated in a September court filing.
Craven is being held without bond on the material witness warrant.
Police also say she had a small bag of marijuana in her sweatshirt at the time of her arrest.
