Trunk or treat with games, music and hot dogs. 5:30 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Yale Avenue Christian Church, 3616 S. Yale Ave.

Trunk or treat with costume contest, prizes, games and refreshments. 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Our Savior Lutheran Church, 146 S. Sheridan Road.
Communitywide Halloween carnival, with food, games, costume contests, pumpkin carving and more. 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Forest Park Christian Church, 9102 S. Mingo Road.

Annual chicken noodle dinner and bake sale to benefit missions. 5-7 p.m. Friday, Grace United Methodist Church, 519 S. 49th West Ave. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for ages 5-11 and free for children younger than 5.
