Key play: Notre Dame running back Cierre Wood goes 62 yards for a touchdown. It was the longest run by the Fighting Irish this season and longest of the senior's career.
Key stat: Oklahoma slot receiver Jalen Saunders set a school record with most catches in a quarter. The Fresno State transfer had eight receptions that covered 82 yards.
Number to know: minus-4. Team rushing yards by the Sooners, a number weighed down heavily by a bad snap that lost 19 yards on the opening possession.

Key play: Oklahoma guard Bronson Irwin's holding penalty negates a 4-yard touchdown run that would have tied the game in the first half's final minute. OU has to settle for a field goal.
Key stat: Two-tenths of a yard. That's the average per rush that the Sooners had in the first half. The team had 16 carries for three total yards at intermission.
Number to know: Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o proved he is as good as advertised, with a team-high 11 sacks at halftime with two tackles for loss and a sack.

Key play: Notre Dame placekicker Kyle Brindza missed a 35-yard field goal that would have given the Irish a touchdown lead.
Key stat: 1. Number of possessions by the Sooners in the third quarter. Oklahoma drove to the Irish 36-yard line before stalling and being forced to punt.
Number to know: 0. Number of times that Bob Stoops, in 14 seasons, has lost two home games in the same season. OU was 79-4 at home under Stoops all-time heading into this one.

Key play: Everett Golson hit Chris Brown on a post pattern for 50 yards down to the Oklahoma 15. Four plays later, Notre Dame broke a 13-13 tie with a 1-yard run by Golson.
Key stat: 15 for 181. In only his third game, Fresno State transfer Jalen Saunders had a breakout performance with 181 receiving yards.
Number to know: 20. The Irish took over the game with a 20-point onslaught in the fourth quarter. Notre Dame Heisman candidate Manti Te'o had an interception with 4:27 left to set up a field goal - sealing the victory.
