A man whom authorities had considered a person of interest in connection with the disappearance of a 16-year-old Weatherford girl has been ruled out as a suspect, the Custer County Sheriff's Office announced Monday.
Gilberto Paz, 37, who is in custody at the Custer County Jail, has been cleared of involvement in the disappearance of Jaray Mickell Wilson, who has been missing since Oct. 15.
The Department of Public Safety named Paz a person of interest on Friday. He was arrested Saturday by Custer County sheriff's deputies on a concealed weapons complaint.
Paz was no longer considered a person of interest after passing a polygraph test, Custer County Sheriff Bruce Peoples said.
Wilson, who has yet to be found, was feared to have been held against her will and "sold into human trafficking in Oklahoma City," authorities said Friday.
She is described as white, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 95 pounds, with green eyes and black hair with a blond streak on the left side. She has three piercing on her bottom lip.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Custer County Sheriff's Office at 580-323-1616.
The Sheriff's Office will be assisted in the on-going investigation by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control, Peoples said.
