Robbery, kidnapping and first-degree burglary charges were filed Monday against two men who are accused of committing several robberies near 61st Street and Peoria Avenue.
Jeremy Deangelo Tillis, 21, of Owasso and Samuel Lee Reed, 21, of Tulsa are charged in Tulsa County District Court with robbery with a firearm, kidnapping, first-degree burglary, knowingly concealing and receiving stolen property, and first-degree robbery.
Tillis is charged separately with possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction and second-degree robbery.
Both men are accused of kidnapping a man and robbing others of cash, iPhones and other items Oct. 20, an arrest report says.
One of the victims called the police about 11:45 p.m. that night after he was taken at gunpoint from the R&R Food Store, 6110 S. Peoria Ave.,the report says.
One of the assailants stole the man's iPhone, cap and jewelry and then forced him to drive to a nearby ATM to withdraw money from his bank account. The men then forced the victim to drive to his home, where $500, a television and a video gaming system were stolen, the report says.
The victim was then ordered to drop the robbers off in the 6500 block of South Newport Avenue, police said.
Information from the victim led investigators to Tillis, Reed and three other men, who were all taken into custody.
Police linked a white iPhone Tillis was carrying to a robbery that was reported in the same area about 6:20 p.m. that day. That victim told police a man grabbed her phone and ran. A second man then approached her to offer aid and indicated that he knew the robber, at which point a third man stole her purse and $43, police said.
Reed and Tillis were arrested on complaints of armed robbery, first-degree robbery by force or fear, and knowingly concealing stolen property, jail records show.
They remain in the Tulsa Jail with bail set at $101,500 each.
