Tulsa temperatures forecast to rise this week

Tulsa's temperatures hit freezing again for the third-straight day this morning, but temperatures are forecast to rise this week.

The National Weather Service forecasts highs in the mid-60s today and the low to mid-70s through the weekend, when highs in the mid-60s are expected to return Sunday.

Overnight lows in the high 30s are forecast for Tulsa tonight but are expected to rise to the 40s through Friday, when overnight lows in the 50s are forecast, according to the weather service.

Tulsa's temperatures sank to 30 degrees this morning, which was higher than the month's lowest temperature set this weekend, 28 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday. Tulsa's highest temperature so far this month was 86 degrees on Oct. 15 and 21, according to the weather service.

Tulsa's next chances of rain are forecast for Saturday night and Sunday. Tulsa's last recorded rainfall was 0.01 of an inch on Thursday, which brought the month's total rainfall to 2.75 inches. That is 0.81 of an inch below normal rainfall for this time of October.
