Food trucks featuring an array of foods will roll into the Blue Dome District in November.
The event, called Eat Street Food Truck Festival, will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Nov. 10 and is being hosted by Arnie’s Bar and The Dog House at Second Street and Elgin Avenue.
The trucks will offer foods ranging from Mexican to Vietnamese, Greek and Japanese cuisines, and other favorite street food fare such as hot dogs, pizza, tacos and tamales.
Many of the food truck chefs focus on locally sourced ingredients.
“This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a really long time,” said JoAnn Armstrong, the event’s producer. Armstrong also coordinates the St. Patrick’s Day Party at Arnie’s and is a food truck enthusiast.
“It is so exciting to see Tulsa embrace the food truck culture, and now there are new and innovative food trucks popping up every day. It will be a real thrill to have them all in one place for everyone to enjoy.”
There will be live music throughout the day.
The Dog House will host a hot dog eating contest.
Winners will receive prizes and bragging rights. Proceeds will benefit Iron Gate.
There will also be a small farmers market and a section featuring local art vendors.
Kids activities will be available.
