The Motor Voter Act is being abused by the Obama administration and activists to re-elect President Obama. Section 7 was written as to make it easier to register to vote. Section 8 of the law specifies the circumstances under which a voter's name may be removed from the registration lists, establishes requirements for list maintenance activities, etc.
As can be expected, the Obama administration has been very aggressive in seeing that states abide by Section 7 of the motor voter law because they expect that most of those who register at welfare offices, etc., of the government will most likely vote for Obama and the liberal Democrats.
But Section 8, which encourages cleaning up the voter registration lists of illegal aliens, convicted criminals, etc., is resisted by Attorney General Eric Holder, and the Department of Justice. The Obama DOJ has said that it would not enforce Section 8 "because it had nothing to do with increasing minority turnout." In fact Holder and the Obama administration are working aggressively to block states' efforts to clean up their rolls, such as photo ID, registering only live U.S. citizens, etc.
With the corrupt ACORN - through its numerous subsidiaries working for Obama's re-election, and the millions of illegal aliens who he has refused to deport, in essence stealth amnesty, etc. - it couldn't be too surprising if Obama wins the election - by hook and crook. Tell your congressman to close our borders and deport the millions who are here illegally.
