Man charged with arson at Tulsa apartment complex

An arson charge was filed Wednesday against a Tulsa man who was arrested last week on allegations that he set a mattress on fire in his apartment.
Dareone A. Ferguson, 19, is charged in Tulsa County District Court with a single count of first-degree arson. Ferguson’s first name is spelled Darone in some records.
He is accused of starting a fire at the Canyon Creek Apartments, 2127 E. 51st Place, on Oct. 24.
Witnesses told investigators that Ferguson set fire to a mattress in an apartment, an arrest report says.
The fire spread to the building’s stairwell when debris was removed from the apartment, and six families were displaced as a result, the report says.
Ferguson remains in the Tulsa Jail, with bail set at $20,000.
