Oklahoma Commissioner Murphy named to power pool committee

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Dana Murphy has been elected vice president of the Arkansas-based Southwest Power Pool's Regional State Committee.

The Little Rock-based committee plays an advisory role regarding the region's future electric power grid and electrical service.

The committee provides input to the Southwest Power Pool on regional issues related to the development and operation of bulk electric transmission. It is comprised of utility regulatory commissioners from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

Murphy has been on the committee for one year.
