Tulsa police apprehended a "Most Wanted" fugitive and convicted felon Monday on more than a dozen counts of larceny from four department stores.
Prosecutors allege that Ramon Terrell McBee, 41, stole 24 coats, six jackets and four vests from the Macy's at the Tulsa Promenade mall between Sept. 24 and Oct. 3, Tulsa County District Court filings show.
McBee is also accused of taking six pairs of jeans from the Belk store in the Tulsa Hills shopping center on Sept. 27 and to have been involved in another incident at the same store in June, police said.
Authorities also allege that McBee walked into the Dillard's at the Tulsa Promenade on Oct. 1 and stole 36 pairs of jeans. He then is accused of going back to the Dillard's on Oct. 4 and taking 60 pairs of pants before striking an officer who tried to stop him, police said.
Authorities allege that he then took 12 pairs of pants from a Macy's on Oct. 11. It was the eighth time McBee robbed the store, police alleged.
Police reports indicate that McBee and a woman worked in tandem to steal 15 pairs of jeans from the J.C. Penney store at Woodland Hills Mall on Oct. 19. He is alleged to have returned later and stolen 10 more pairs of jeans and 17 coats, police said.
McBee was named the Tulsa Police Department's "Most Wanted" fugitive on Oct. 22.
He is being held on 13 counts of larceny of merchandise from a retailer, as well as two complaints of trespassing to commit theft, and a single complaint of assault and battery, jail records show.
Prosecutors charged him with five counts of larceny on Oct. 12. His bail is set at $137,500.
McBee has pleaded guilty to numerous charges, including larceny from a retailer, larceny from a person, drug possession and possession of a stolen vehicle, since 1989, Tulsa County District Court records show.
He has served portions of 10 prison sentences, with actual time served ranging from one to five years in each case.
