Notes: Oilers are off to their best start since 2003-04. ... The Oilers jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held off Fort Worth for a 4-2 victory in front of 3,476 on Sunday at the BOK Center. ... On Monday, Oilers center Gary Steffes was named the CHL Player of the Week. Steffes, who leads the Oilers with seven points through five games, recorded a goal and an assist in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to Quad City and followed up with a goal and assist Saturday as the Oilers beat the Mallards, 4-1. The Grand Blanc, Mich., native finished the weekend with an assist in Sunday's 4-2 victory over the Brahmas. ... Tulsa has scored 17 goals, the team's highest five-game total to open a season since 2009-10 when they scored 19 times.
