Start the holiday shopping early at the Junior League of Tulsa's seventh annual Holiday Market "Tinsel in Tulsa."
The event runs Thursday through Sunday at the Exchange Center at Expo Square on the Tulsa Fairgrounds. Public hours are Friday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Holiday Market serves as the major fundraiser for the Junior League of Tulsa, supporting community projects in the Tulsa area, including the Laura Dester Shelter, Harvest Market, The Henry Zarrow Center for Art & Education and many others.
This year's Holiday Market will feature local merchants and retailers from across the country offering holiday gifts and décor, apparel and accessories, as well as gourmet foods.
Tickets for Holiday Market are $6 each and are valid for all three general admission days. All tickets are available for purchase on the Junior League of Tulsa's website, tulsaworld.com/juniorleague, or by calling 918-663-6100.
"For 2012, we have expanded our merchant selection and we are welcoming back many of our traditional crowd favorites. This year, we are expecting our largest event to date, as we put the Tinsel in Tulsa," said Whitney Mathews, Holiday Market chair.
A preview party, "Tinsel and 'Tinis," will be held the night before market opens to the public, allowing partygoers crowd-free shopping. Guests will enjoy a fashion show, wreath auction and a designer raffle. Tickets for the preview party from 6-9 p.m. Thursday are $30.
