Vision2 leaders to discuss plan at Tulsa Press Club luncheon

Two co-chairmen of the Vision2 campaign - Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett and Tulsa County Commissioner John Smaligo - will discuss the proposal to extend a 0.6 percent county sales tax through 2029 at a Tulsa Press Club luncheon at noon Thursday.

Smaligo is scheduled to discussed the $386.9 million economic development package at Tulsa County projects in the proposal, which goes before voters Tuesday.

Bartlett will discuss city projects included in the $361.7 million "quality-of-life" portion of the proposal, including low-water dams along the Arkansas River, improvements to the Gilcrease Expressway and projects for the zoo and the library system.

Luncheon costs are $15 for Press Club members, $20 for nonmembers. Luncheon service begins at 11:15 a.m. with the presentation at noon.
