Four days of activities are planned Thursday through Sunday to celebrate the 133rd birthday of Oklahoma's favorite son, Will Rogers.

The first event, "Children's Day at the Museum" at Will Rogers Memorial Museum, 1720 W. Will Rogers Blvd. in Claremore, is sold out.

Friday's events include a birthday celebration at Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch, 9501 E. 380 Road in Oologah, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Cake and entertainment are part of the celebration, with Oologah-Talala fourth-graders presenting a musical and champion trick roper Kowboy Kal performing.

Friends and family of Will Rogers will be at the Memorial Museum on Friday for "Night at the Museum," 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $25. Call 918-341-0719.

From noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, an antique and classic car show will be on the museum grounds.

Also Saturday, Indian Women's Pocahontas Club will pay tribute to Will Rogers with "Hats Off to Will," a tradition since 1938. The event begins at 1 p.m. in the Will Rogers Memorial Museum Theatre.

The Will Rogers Days Parade will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, traveling down Will Rogers Boulevard from the Claremore Expo-Recreation parking lot through downtown. Jim Halsey and his wife, Manisa Crumbo Halsey, will serve as parade marshals.

At 2 p.m. Sunday, the Masonic Grand Lodge of Oklahoma will dedicate a commemorative plaque on the portico wall of the Memorial Museum. Will Rogers was a member of the Claremore Masonic Lodge, which was renamed Will Rogers Lodge a few years ago.
