I attended a town hall meeting in McAlester, recently, expecting to meet and ask questions of each candidate for the 2nd Congressional District. Republican Markwayne Mullin was not in attendance. I learned from the candidates that he refuses to meet with them and/or debate the issues facing this district.

How can voters make an educated decision about who will best serve the interests of this district if we cannot hear all candidates' opinions/ideas. I understand that Mullin has dodged every request so far to debate or discuss the issues with his opponents, Democrat Rob Wallace and independent Michael Fulks. This seems very strange since all other political races apparently have candidates eager to debate and prove that their beliefs are best for the state of Oklahoma and/or the entire nation. I would like to have heard him in person saying something positive about himself and his opinions and what his plans are for this district.
