Glover, Roundtree spark ORU to exhibition victory

Utah transfer Shawn Glover scored 22 points in his first exhibition game as a member of the Oral Roberts University basketball team and Steven Roundtree added 21 points in a 83-66 victory Thursday night over NCAA Division II opponent Missouri Southern.
Warren Niles and Korey Billbury scored 12 points each and Damen Bell-Holter contributed six points and 15 rebounds, two shy of his career-high total that he accumulated against Missouri in 2010.
ORU used runs of 16-0 early in the first half and 15-0 early in the second half to take control of the game. The Golden Eagles led by as many as 23 points before the Lions cut the lead to 12 four times in the second half.
Jordan Talbert led Missouri Southern with 18 points.
ORU ends its exhibition schedule with a 7 p.m. Monday game against Oklahoma Wesleyan.
