Game of the night
3A No. 7 Metro Christian (7-2, 4-1) at 3A No. 2 Berryhill (8-0, 5-0): At stake is the District 3A-5 title, although Metro likely must win by at least four points to prevent Verdigris from taking the title. Metro's Matt Woolslayer has 21 TD passes. Berryhill's Zach Jackson has 14. The Chiefs are gunning for just the fifth unbeaten, untied regular season in school history.
Numbers to know
238.4: Rushing yards per game by Wagoner's Lawrence Evitt. The junior tailback totals 2,146 yards to lead Class 4A and hasn't had less than 167 yards in any game this year. He also has at least one rushing touchdown in every game.
199.7: Miles that Broken Bow will travel from McCurtain County to play Cascia Hall in Friday's District 4A-4 showdown (Source: www.mapquest.com). The Savages won the only previous meetings in 1990 and 1991.
20: Consecutive games that Bristow's Adam Lomenick has thrown at least one touchdown pass - every game since the start of the 2011 season. The senior had 26 TD passes last year and has 18 in 2012. Bristow must beat Prague in Friday's final regular-season game to qualify for postseason play.
0: Previous times Sapulpa has beaten Edison. The Chieftains must win Friday's first meeting in 51 years to have any shot of reaching the playoffs. The teams met as rivals in the old Oklahoma Six Conference in 1958-61 with Edison winning all four games.
-37: Marginal points (used for tiebreakers) accumulated by Mounds, lowest total by any team still in contention for postseason play. The Golden Eagles must beat Haskell to have a shot at a District 2A-5 playoff berth.
Players to watch
Carlos Capehart, DE, Kiefer: Senior ringleader of a defense allowing just 5.7 points per game has 88 tackles and seven sacks. The Trojans host Morrison to decide the District A-7 title.
Tyler Gibson, RB, Mannford: Coming on strong as a junior, Gibson has 497 of his 788 rushing yards in the last four games, helping steer the Pirates into playoff contention. With a win over visiting Tecumseh, Mannford would advance to postseason play for the first time in five years.
Caden Pratt, QB, McAlester: Fleet-footed junior has done his work in seven games, rushing for 1,111 yards, passing for 664 and accounting for 14 TDs. Memorial visits the Buffs to decide the District 5A-3 runner-up spot.
Tate Swab, QB, Cascia Hall: The senior is a leader on both sides of the ball for the 4A No. 1 Commandos. Along with his 12 touchdown passes, he doubles in the defensive secondary and has six pass interceptions.
Jonathon Willis, DE, Booker T. Washington: The junior leads the area with 14 1/2 sacks. The Hornets need a strong pass rush as they visit Bartlesville to decide a District 6A-1 playoff berth. The Bruins' Stephen Cochran has thrown for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns.
