Police are looking for a motive in the shooting deaths of a man and a woman at about midnight Thursday in the 6900 block of East Newton Street, police said.

Tulsa Police Sgt. August Terbrock said emergency responders were called to the scene after being alerted to a death at the home, but investigators were called after it was determined to be suspicious and a possible homicide.

Terbrock identified the man as 20-year-old Deyonta Dunn. The woman was identified as Phoenicia Dorsey, 19, said Sgt. Dave Walker..

Multiple shots were fired at the scene, but Terbrock wouldn't release how many times the victims were shot.

"There were no shots-heard calls" from neighbors, Terbrock said. "It's kind of weird. We talked to several neighbors and they didn't see anything suspicious."

Investigators were still working the scene at 5 a.m., Terbrock said.

"We haven't really established a clear motive as to why it happened," he said.

According to police reports, there doesn't appear to be a forced entry into the home.

The apparent homicides would be Tulsa's 41st and 42nd of the year.

Anyone with information about the two deaths is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
