Letter to the Editor: Support Hall

As one who has volunteered in the Tulsa Public Schools for 18 years and is a Republican and an advocate for strong, stable neighborhoods, I want the people of Senate District 39 to know that I think Democrat Julie Hall is the best candidate.
I have worked with Julie to protect and support neighborhoods and Tulsa's quality of life. I know her to be a tireless worker and effective advocate for important local issues, like historic preservation and PlaniTulsa. Her opponent, Republican incumbent Sen. Brian Crain says he supports legislative measures to preserve and increase local control. But when it came time to allow a proposal to move forward on expanded local tobacco regulation, he blocked a vote and killed the bill.
Crain also sponsored legislation that would have removed local control over historic preservation zoning in favor of big developers. The people of Senate District 39 can do better. They need to elect Julie Hall.
