Letter to the Editor: You didn't hear that

To paraphrase an old saying, "who you gonna believe, me or your own lying ears?" For almost two weeks after our ambassador was killed in Libya I heard, with my own ears, President Obama and his underlings tell me that the ambassador was killed by a mob incited by a YouTube video. We now know that the killing was the result of a pre-planned terrorist attack, not a video. Even worse, Obama and his administration knew it within hours.
The killing came at a very unlucky time for the president. It was only weeks prior to Election Day and a big part of his campaign was telling America, "today al-Qaida is on the run." The killing proved otherwise. So what's an unlucky president to do? Of course, let's blame it on a video.
Now, after all the facts have come out, he would like us to believe that he called it a terrorist act from the beginning. But I heard what I heard no matter how he tries to change his story now. To paraphrase a newer saying, ("You didn't build that"): "You didn't hear that"!
