Gloria Phillips, died October 31st, 2012. Born in Dallas, Texas, September 9, 1927 to Carl Edgar and Virginia Hunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Samuel Phillips. Her degrees were earned from Western Kentucky State University (Bowling Green, KY) and Texas Tech University (Lubbock, TX). She taught Secondary School Art in Lubbock from 1964-1972. She was Minister to Women in Alabama and Texas. She was a writer of religious curricula and a Bible teacher for 50 years. She was a teacher and an active member at Asbury United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters: Ginny Allen, (Lee) Baton Rouge, LA; Marty Phillips, Tulsa, OK; and Catherine Caracio, (Richard) Allentown, PA; six grandchildren: Munci and Braxton Mundell, Tulsa, OK; Rebekah Allen, Austin, TX; Sam (Taylor) Allen, Columbia, SC USAF; Cohlmia and Michaela Caracio, Allentown, PA. Arrangements: Moore’s Funeral Home (Southlawn) 51st & Memorial, Tulsa.
