Living Wright: Clang, clang, clang goes Tulsa's new trolley

It took a good hour for me to get "Clang, clang, clang went the trolley! Ding, ding, ding went the bell!" out of my head Wednesday afternoon.

That's because, every Hallo- ween, I channel Judy Garland, specifically her role in "Meet Me in St. Louis," twirling around in a dress on an old trolley - or, as I don't have a trolley, my kitchen.

OK, I totally made that up. But "The Trolley Song" was on my mind yesterday while writing about a new trolley service that will be offered in the Brady Arts, Blue Dome and Deco districts downtown starting this weekend and will run 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights.

After I left for an interview near Inola (more on that in a couple of days), I received a map of the trolley route.

In the meantime, before we allow our heartstrings to go zing-zing-zing (sorry, I'll stop now), kindly tell me, por favor, what your favorite neighborhood is for entertainment and fun in the 918. Is it Utica Square? Brookside? Jenks' downtown? Somewhere in south Tulsa? Tell me why, too.

Peace, love and heartstrings ... XOXO
