Tulsa police are searching for a man who walked into a Tulsa CVS Pharmacy early Saturday and stole a small amount of cash from the register.

The robber entered the business at 71st Street and Yale Avenue just after 5 a.m., presented a cigarette lighter to the checkout counter and then grabbed money from the register before fleeing on foot, Sgt. Brian Carlisle said.

The clerk suffered a minor injury when he attempted to close the register as the assailant reached inside, Carlisle said.

The robber is described as black, 6 feet tall, about 200 pounds and no facial hair, police said. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and was last seen headed west on Yale Avenue.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
