Fortunately readers can think for ourselves and do not need the editors at your paper to tell us who to vote for. Let's see, in the primary, you suggested incumbent John Sullivan was the man best fit for the 1st Congressional District job. But the voters had a different opinion.
Now, in time for the general election, you endorse Democrat John Olson. A vote for Olson is a vote for President Obama and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., as Olson is an adamant supporter.
Good Oklahomans, is that what you want?
Republican candidate Jim Bridenstine has a stellar resume. Lt. Cmdr. Bridenstine is a veteran combat (decorated) pilot who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He currently flies counter-narcotics missions around the world with the Navy Reserve. Bridenstine also has served in "Top Gun" training.
As previous executive director of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum, Bridenstine has experience in the private sector of business as well. He earned a bachelor of arts degree with a triple major at Rice University in economics, business and psychology. He received his MBA at Cornell University. He and his wife, Michelle, have three children.
Bridenstine is one of the few candidates in the entire country who has received endorsement by the Combat Veterans for Congress. Bridenstine is extremely intellectual, likable and very capable.
Thank goodness for intelligent voters who will vote for Jim Bridenstine Tuesday.
