Suspect in Good Friday shootings accused of assaulting jail officer

One of the two men charged in the Good Friday shootings is now accused of assaulting a detention officer stemming from an incident Thursday night as the officer was trying to lead the inmate back into his cell.
According to the report, Jacob Carl England, 20, had been in the recreation yard and was being escorted by the officer back to his cell when England refused to enter and elbowed the officer in his lower right side.
The officer told police that he applied a "very small amount of force" to get England into the cell before England elbowed the officer and yelled obscenities at him.
The officer then held the cell door open with his foot and pushed England into the cell with both hands.
Once in the cell, England refused to hold up his hands so the officer could retrieve his handcuffs through the cell's cuff port and continued to curse the officer, the report says.
"I then told inmate England I was writing him up and if he didn't give me my handcuffs back I would get more officers up here and turn this into a big deal," the officer told police.
England yelled more invectives at the officer but complied.
The police officer taking the report observed redness and slight swelling in the area where the detention officer was allegedly struck, the report says.
England and Alvin Lee Watts, 33, are both charged with three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
They are accused of shooting five people at four north Tulsa locations early April 6.
The defendants each face murder counts linked to the fatal shootings of Dannaer Fields, 49, Bobby Clark, 54, and William Allen, 31.
They are scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 26.
