This week's candidates

Lawrence Evitt, Wagoner: Junior running back had 25 rushes for 232 yards and four TDs in a 52-34 win over Vinita.

Jake Gandara, Fort Gibson: Senior RB-cornerback had 31 carries for 411 yards and five TDs plus four tackles in a 49-42 win over Sallisaw.

Cooper Mitchell, Afton: Sophomore quarterback-defensive back had 25 rushes for 245 yards and three TDs plus two conversion passes in a 34-19 win over Summit Christian. On defense, had three tackles and an interception.

Tanner Smith, Verdigris: In a 36-20 win at Sperry, senior RB had 37 carries for 289 yards and four TDs plus a conversion as he became the school's first player to rush for 2,000 yards in a season.

Demetri Walker, McLain: Senior QB had 392 total yards and accounted for three TDs in a 38-35 win over Cleveland.

Bennett White, Booker T. Washington: Junior QB completed 18-of-21 passes for 223 yards and two TDs in a 34-26 win at Bartlesville.

Britt Williams, Haskell: Senior linebacker-RB had 18 tackles, including two sacks, and produced two takeaways in a 28-6 win over Mounds. Also had 55-yard TD run to seal Haskell's first playoff berth since 2004.

Deontre Youngblood, East Central: Senior wideout had five catches for 166 yards and three TDs in a 42-7 win over Pryor.

Other top performers

Trey'Vonne Barr'e, Jenks: Senior running back had eight carries for 147 yards and three TDs as he broke Chris Adkins' school career rushing record in a 46-14 win at Putnam City.

Tre'von Cherry, East Central: Sophomore QB passed for 297 yards and four TDs against Pryor.

Austin Grauer, Lincoln Christian: Senior QB completed 26-of-47 passes for 392 yards and five TDs against Tahlequah Sequoyah.

Teddy Keys, Oologah: Senior RB had 28 rushes for 207 yards and a TD in a 44-34 win at Catoosa.

Jaylen Lowe, Owasso: Senior QB passed for 285 yards and five TDs in a 49-23 win over Stillwater.

Daniel Moniz, Claremore Sequoyah: Junior QB had 24 carries for 264 yards and accounted for two TDs in a 31-21 win over Dewey.

Brayden Scott, Tahlequah Sequoyah: Senior QB passed for 287 yards and four TDs against Lincoln Christian.

Jalen Wood, Victory Christian: Junior RB had 17 carries for 187 yards and two TDs in a 28-8 win over Morris.

Matt Woolslayer, Metro Christian: Senior QB passed for 216 yards and accounted for four TDs in a 29-21 win at Berryhill.
