Tulsa firefighters contain structure fire

Tulsa firefighters have contained a structure fire and were monitoring possibly hazardous smoke and water run-off near 38th Street and Sheridan Road.
Firefighting crews responded to Nature's Choice Spa Products, 6924 E. 38th St., around 3:45 a.m., said Fire Capt. Stan May. Hazardous materials units were called in because of concerns about the possibility of chemicals, such as chlorine and bromine that are stored inside the building, catching fire, he said.
Detection equipment did not immediately find high levels of either chemical in the area, May said.
Fire companies used a drive-in nozzle to spray water inside the apparently unoccupied building while minimizing danger to firefighters, who can operate the equipment from outside.
