Don't expect much in the way of competition. The last time the Sooners hosted Henderson State was five years ago. They won 110-40. The Div. II Lady Reddies haven't gotten a lot better since. Last year, in Chris Oestreich's first season as coach, they reached the tournament for the first time since 2007. Not the NCAA tournament, the Great American Conference tourney. It's a good thing this is an exhibition game.
At any rate, OU will try to build on its effort in last week's exhibition wipeout of Oklahoma Christian. Center Nicole Griffin made 8-of-9 shots en route to 23 points. JUCO transfer Portia Durrett posted 16 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Morgan Hook had 18 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds.
