A Jenks woman was arrested Wednesday on allegations that she crashed her car after driving the wrong way on U.S. 169 while under the influence of alcohol.
Jessica Sue Kennon, 36, was booked into the Tulsa Jail on complaints of DUI and driving the wrong way on a one-way street. She was later released, jail records show.
Witnesses reported seeing Kennon's vehicle going north in the southbound lanes of U.S. 169 between 41st and 51st streets about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report.
A responding officer saw Kennon sitting in a stopped vehicle that appeared to have been damaged in a wreck, the report says. No other vehicle apparently was involved.
The arresting officer reported smelling alcohol on Kennon's breath.
When asked whether she had been drinking, Kennon said she drank while working but "didn't remember how much she had to drink," police reported.
The officer noted on the arrest report that Kennon was "very unsteady on her feet and had a staggered gate" during a field sobriety test.
The report did not indicate whether Kennon sustained any injuries.
