2011 CHAMPION
Hennessey (8-2): The third-ranked Eagles are
two-time defending champions. Their only losses
in 2012 are to 3A No. 2 Kingfisher and 3A No. 8
Jones. They outscored seven 2A opponents and
NOAH by a combined 349-72.
TEAM TO BEAT
Vian (10-0): The No. 1 Wolverines’ only loss of
the past two years was to Hennessey in the 2011
quarterfinals. They’ve put up ridiculous numbers
in 2012, allowing only 23 points and outscoring
opponents by nearly 60 points per game. Top
players include University of Tulsa lineman commit
Rob Boyd and running back Rowdy Simon.
SLEEPER
Frederick (10-0): The eighth-ranked Bombers
averaged 63.7 points, surpassing even Vian’s
scoring pace. Their road to the final seems easier,
with five of the top seven teams on the opposite
side of the bracket.
AREA CONTENDER
Adair (10-0): The Warriors ripped Pawhuska
38-14 to avenge last year’s first-round playoff
loss. Running back Zak Woolman has 30 TDs and
quarterback Brady Bradbury has accounted for 25
touchdowns.
PREDICTED FINISH
Vian 45, Frederick 39
